nightmare of you: bang ep:

i'm a big huge fan of NOY's first album so just the anticipation alone had me gitty for this. but. then. i heard IT. IT. THE JAM. this rad little number called "Herbal Jazz Cigarette". OH MAN. i'm actually listening to it right on repeat.  it's everything the title suggests. your going to want to cut your hair into a bob and smoke long cigarettes with the love of your life…in a speak easy. actually you'll still be in your bedroom, but it won't matter…i promise this is your fall jam. another RAD this about this band is that they are totally 100% indie. stop being a nerd, and start actually buying legit music.

schoolyard heroes: adominations.

i can't say that i've heard a lot from this band BUT i'm suggesting it for two reasons: i fully support stolen transmission records (obvs). and there are a buttload of my chemical romance fans on here and from what i've heard this is right up your alley. i get totally stoked out on female lead singers...sarah keeps telling me that i'm going to love them so hard, but i'm waiting for ST's showcase at CMJ to form my opinion.

the donnas: bitchin.

go buy the song "wasted" from itunes right now. then close your eyes and imagine that your parker posey's character from dazed and confused. your life just got so much better. either the donna's will be your new favorite band, or you'll hate them...my words are useless. (note: if you love them go buy "get skintight" because it's a great soundtrack to high school life)

four year strong: rise or die trying.

oh hai hype machine! do you read ap.net? yikes. if so you'd think this album was the second coming of Jesus. it's not that, but it's pretty damn good. don't get turned off by the first track on the album,  (after the intro) i almost did, but i powered through and the rest of the album rocks SO HARD. in fact, i might recommend you skip that track all together and come back to it at the end ok? i saw them at the knitting factory a few weeks ago and totally got my FACE MOSHED OFF which made me realize 2 things. 1) i've been going to way too many whiny ass scenemo shows lately and 2) there are still super cute punky boys out there and they go to show like this. SWOON.

motion city soundtrack: even if it kills me.

!)(@#*&#*$^#&*$#!!! words. can not. describe. this. album. and. how i. feel. about it. the lead single "this is for real" is definitely one of my favorite jams, (so typical, i'm a SUCKER for a good single) and believe me, the rest of the album will melt your heart as well. if you don't have this already you need to  RUN, NOT WALK to the store and buy 8 copies of this to hand out to strangers on the street. I SWEAR. "Fell In Love Without Yout" is slowing becoming my stand out track, and this album is going to give you a PLETHORA of new away message lines.....oh and have you ever seen this band live? yeah. ok. amazing.
