i know i’ve said this before, but i’m so stoked for bamboozle. the line-up keeps getting more and more awkward and bizzarro, but it doesn’t even matter. it’s just going to be great hangs with people i heart to death…….(also: last year i met a bunch of amazing peeps from the interwebz and i hope to do the same again this year. hollerskates if you are coming)

is anyone around here 21? or have a really great fake id? (half kidding) if so than come out and hang with us at High Voltage at Sutra this wednesday. last week was fully silly and ultagrrrl saved my life with songs... per usual.  jesse is djing this week and i get to sidekick help out for .5 seconds. (aka long enough to play the new timbaland and some jermaine stewart : yes that’s the ORIGINAL "clothes off" sans pstump, getintoit) so come dance with us!!! we have other stupid antics planned so just be there so you don’t have to read about it on the webz.....

GAHH! i’ve been trying to update this journal for about 5 days… just a few things: quick and random just like me.

we (me, jesse, jessica) got stuck in an elevator 2 nights ago and it was PURE comedy. i've never been in that situation before, and honestly i’ve always been a little scared of it, but at 3am with my 2 favorite people it was actually pretty awesome! ANYTIME got delivered while we were in there so we had an awesome late night snack waiting for us when we got out. we just sat in there laughing at ourselves for 20 minutes. the fire department came. it sorta ruled. also; we took an AMAZING video. maybe someday it will make it’s internet debut.

one of my favorite parts was when we called the help phone thing and instead of connecting us to someone who could help it just played some weird top 40 radio station back to us….i definitely tried to request fall out boy.....HAHAHA.

Sherwood put out an album on tuesday. you should check that out if you haven't already.  two people recently brought them to my attention and i got the opportunity to check them out at the Nokia last week with Mae and Relient K. they totally rocked my socks off. (PS: Mae, however, was god awful.) this album sounds like Motion City Soundtrack (GEAH!GEAH!GEAH!) and hellogoodbye made a musical baby. into it.

last night Sutra was insanely packed and the open bar was a bust so we made an executive decision to hit up the 'Gator lounge in BK for late night hangs. yeah, we drop hammers like that. pizza, beer and buck hunter at 2am is not for the faint of heart.....

EEK! this artist totally made my week. so hysterically amazing.

oh and finally ultragrrrl has an amazing article and a more amazing cover photo in the village voice. HOT DAMN! (lurve you lady!) yes, her boobs are totally all over the city.

I’m painfully addicted to tea now. jessica’s mom sent her boxes and boxes of the stuff when we moved and we all dove in when a cold ran rampant through out house and now I can’t get enough. I started with the “tea for colds” than moved on to the “tea for sleep” or “sleepz” as I like to call it. then I found an AMAZING peppermint tea to drink all day at work. so does anyone know of any really good tea’s out there? hook me up…..i like minty, refreshing type stuff.

I really haven’t written about what I’ve been doing for the past 2-3 weeks. life has been fully busy, and amazing. I’ve been going out a lot. probably too much. staying out till 5am is the new trend for winter. I just can’t help myself, I hang out with some of the funniest, most amazing people on the planet, who wouldn’t want to spend all hours of the day with people like that? (including this one new dude, who I can honestly say is one of THE BEST people I’ve ever met in my entire life. thank god he swoons my roommate so I can continue to: talk about peeing on the floor of bars, shoot deer, drink, and be a apple/hoodie nerd with him for a while. I am fully bummed out that he has to leave ny soon….oh I also like to stare at him while he sleeps and hope the dresser attacks him while he’s not paying attention….HAHA! and I hope he just read this and got really creeped out....no seriously he's one of my favorite dudes..)

lots of fun design work on my plate including this weeks project, a screen printed Stolen Transmission poster for SXSW (which btw I’m bumming because I’m not going this year..) and I really, really happy with it so far. I’m pumped on the color combo and I hope you all like it too! you can see the first step of the process in the picture section. final product should be up by Friday afternoon. also if you’re going to SXSW be on the look out for this t-shirt making it’s debut into the world…final product also drops Friday. I have a few other projects going on as well, more on those later though…..did you guys see the Curbside necklaces I got made?! hot right? I’m doing “Are I” and “LurkHard” soon. let me know if you want either of those. ($12 each unless I’ve already promised you one)

and my random thoughts:

• did you guys join the Stolen Transmission message board yet? we need some more “Are I’s” on there please….
• song of the day: White Guilt : The Bronx  (I have NO idea why I randomly re-fell in love with this song yesterday, but I did)
• is anyone else really stoked for Bamboozle this year? I am for some STRANGE reason. I feel like it’s the official summer kick off or something. watch it be hella cold and rainy those days.

task for today: everyone needs to rumage through their couch and dig up $6.99 in change. then take that $6.99 in change and deposit it to your bank account. then go to itunes and buy THE PHOTO ATLAS!!! their album "no, not me, never" is out now, and it’s fully and completely fantastic. they are definitely one of my favorite bands of this year and i was in complete BUMOUT mode after i missed their NYC show last weekend....

 

 

i know the last thing you want to be today is in full bumout mode, so go get the album NOW and catch them on tour when they play your city, town, or troll hole…..

i'm fully starving right now and all i can think about is the pounds of free pizza i'm going to inhale at the alligator lounge tonight....BEST BAR DEAL EVER.

big plans for revolver ( the weekly haunt) tmrw and saturday, come hang if you're around. fake strippers, fake gangs, real unicorns. get into it.

some of my dudes from RI are coming into town tonight, and staying through the weekend. stuffs gonna get ugly. just sayin. marathon ball busting sessions. cranston style.

the photo atlas is playing at pianos tmrw at 7. you kinda shouldn't miss this if you're gonna in the city at that time. you'll find me with this girl clapping off beat because i can't handle being on rhythm.
